§ 01 – What we deliver

One accountable partner – from concept to serial production.

Rather than supplying standalone machines, we design and deliver complete production processes. Every project moves through the same four stages.

Process development at the RMA Laser Application Center
01

Develop

Development & optimization of laser processes – feasibility studies, PoC, parameter optimization, design for manufacturing, prototype and sample production.

Faster technology development · Reduced development risk
Metallographic validation of laser welds
02

Validate

Proving process quality and production readiness – metallography, material analysis, pull-off and tensile testing, repeatability assessment, validation reports.

Verified performance · Objective quality confirmation
RMA production system engineering and automation
03

Industrialize

Transforming validated processes into reliable production systems – standard Battery Welders, custom machines, automation, robotics and line integration.

Faster ramp-up · Lower total cost of ownership

§ 03 – Quality gates

Quality is verified before, during and after every weld.

Dedicated clamping and tooling – preconditions checked before the weld starts
BEFORE

The machine refuses to weld a bad joint.

Vision recognition locates each joint, the clamping unit eliminates the gap, connection height is measured and focal position adjusted. If preconditions are not met, the weld does not start.

Battery Welder HMI showing live weld signal curves during welding
DURING

Every weld monitored in real time.

Controlled energy input and online process monitoring track the weld as it happens – deviations are flagged at the joint, not discovered in the field.

AFTER

Documented proof, not assumptions.

Weld data recorded per joint and per pack, transferable to your database. Processes are validated at the Laser Application Center with metallographic examinations, tensile testing and macroscopic analysis.

§ 04 – Materials

A wide range of materials, including challenging dissimilar-metal joints.

Production & quality

Every Battery Welder is built and validated at RMA's own facility in Gdynia. Machines are engineered for stable, repeatable welding performance, with every process validated before it leaves the factory: efficient validation and revalidation, full traceability across production, and reliability built for continuous manufacturing.

Up to 80% Heat-affected zone (HAZ) reduction1
2–6 m/min Continuous welding speed2
  1. Compared to conventional resistance spot welding – confirmed through metallographic testing at RMA's Laser Application Center.
  2. Optimal process window for continuous fiber laser seam welding (1–3 kW) on EV battery interconnects and casing joints, for spatter-free penetration.

§ 06 – Laser Application Center

The process starts in the Laser Application Center – not with the machine.

We develop and validate optimal welding parameters against your actual stack-up – before any tooling is committed. Materials laboratory and laser technology center in one place.

  • DEV Feasibility studies, Proof of Concept, welding parameter optimization
  • LAB Metallographic analysis – penetration, fusion and weld area measurement
  • TEST Pull-off and tensile strength testing, process repeatability assessment
  • DOC Validation reports and full test documentation
